NEW! Cooking for Kids! A great idea for a unique birthday party is hosting a cooking lesson party for your child and his or her friends. Cooking lesson parties are held in your kitchen and Homemade By Heather does all of the shopping, planning, preparation and clean-up! Prices start at $300 and includes all food and materials including:
- Customized invitation for your child's guests
- Self-decorated aprons for each child (a keepsake)
- All food and beverages for the party
- Create-a-Cupcake or Create-a-Cookie station
- Complete clean-up
All menus are custom designed with your input to make the party extra-special! We have several theme menus and can customize to meet dietary and taste needs of all children present. Below is an outline of a typical party and a sample menu.
Sample Cooking for Kids Birthday Party Agenda/Menu
Upon arrival, Homemade By Heather will set the party table where children will be eating; set-up the cooking station; put out the aprons and markers the children will use to decorate their take-home apron; and set the table with the appetizer and beverages (using your own plates and dishes or ours.)
When children arrive, they will begin by decorating their aprons. Once all children are present, we'll begin making the Side Dish, then the Main Course. After eating, children will move on to Create a Cupcake to finish up the cooking portion of the party. Homemade By Heather will completely clean your kitchen and all dishes, plates, glasses, etc, used during the party.

Appetizer:
Fruit Kabobs (pre-made by Homemade By Heather)
Main Course:
Individual Pizzas
Children will form their own crust with fresh dough, and use toppings such as sauce, cheese, fresh veggies, pepperoni, diced chicken, sausage, etc, to create their own custom pizzas.
Side Dish:
Garden Salad with Homemade By Heather Vinaigrette
Children will prepare salad and learn how to make a salad dressing from scratch
Dessert:
Create a Cupcake Station
Children will be given an undecorated cupcake, a small cup of white icing and access to food coloring, sprinkles and other cupcake toppings to customize their own dessert cupcake.
